The Arc of the Ozarks opened a state-of-the-art-facility called The Autism and Neurodevelopmental Center in early January 2024. With nearly 60 years of experience in developing programs to support children and adults with autism and developmental disabilities, The Arc of the Ozarks has been a pillar of support for individuals and their families by creating solutions. This center is that solution by increasing access to diagnostic and treatment therapies for individuals on the autism spectrum and other neurodevelopmental disorders in Southwest Missouri.

  • Over the next decade alone, over 40,000 kids in Missouri will be identified as having autism
  • In Missouri the current estimated waitlist for a diagnosis and treatment services is 2 to 2.5 years

The Vision

  • To offer a family-centered approach to care offering coordinated comprehensive care in one location, where individuals of all ages can receive the support they need to reach their full potential
  • Have the center be a one-stop hub to offer comprehensive diagnostic evaluations, counseling, occupational therapy, speech and language therapy, psychiatric services, medication management, applied behavior analysis, general pediatric care, and other services
  • Give families a place of hope and compassion, along with the necessary resources for individuals with autism to reach their full potential
